VocalEye is hosting a variety of Professional Development events and workshops this fall, in-person and online.


SIGHTED GUIDE BASIC TRAINING – in-person

Learn how to effectively and confidently assist a person who is blind or partially sighted in everyday situations. The training will focus on practical techniques, language, etiquette and simple scenarios.

An additional orientation session for Theatre Buddy volunteers will be offered following the basic training. Instructors: Amy Amantea and Donna Soares.

Choose either Sunday, October 16 OR Sunday, November 6 from 1 pm to 4:15 pm. Theatre Buddy Orientation from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

DESCRIBER CAFÉS – online Zoom

Join us on the last Friday of the month at 11 am Pacific Time for an online Zoom conversation around the art of audio description and arts access. Suitable for audio describers, AD users, access providers, artists and anyone interested sharing skills and resources. Join our Pro D mailing list for reminders and Zoom links.
